I. Introduction to the Research Group

Julie Semmelhack, a professor recruited by Sun Yat-sen University and a doctoral supervisor.

The laboratory's main research interests are using large-scale two photon imaging and optogenetics to study visual circuits in the zebrafish brain. We take advantage of the transparency of the zebrafish larva to study how visual information is integrated in the brain, and how astrocytes modulate neural circuits to produce behavior. 2. Recruitment Scope and Positions

Open recruitment both on and off campus, laboratory assistant positions (labor dispatch).

3. Job Responsibilities

1. Assist the research team in carrying out corresponding scientific research work, creating and breeding transgenic zebrafish, and performing behavioral and functional imaging experiments;

2. Assist the research group with daily laboratory management, including procurement of reagents, consumables, instruments, and financial reimbursement;

3. Responsible for the management, technical training, and daily maintenance of laboratory instruments;

4. Assist the research team in completing fund project applications, project completion, and other assigned tasks

III. Recruitment Requirements

1. Proficient in written and spoken English;

2. Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, diligent in work, good at cooperation and communication, patient and meticulous, highly efficient, and able to execute and complete tasks on time;

3. Bachelor's degree or above in biology or medicine-related fields; postgraduate degree preferred;

4. No work experience required; candidates with experimental skills in molecular biology or neuroscience are preferred;

5. Position Compensation

Implemented according to relevant standards of Sun Yat-sen University, with preferential treatment based on education and work experience; Other related benefits according to policy, including social insurance and housing fund; Probation period is 3 months, with salary paid according to the standard after formal employment
