湖北中医药大学是湖北省人民政府、国家中医药管理局共建高校，是湖北省第一所拥有一级学科博士学位授予权的省属高校，湖北省首批设有博士后科研流动站的省属高校；是“国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程”项目建设高校，湖北省“国内一流学科建设高校”。

Hubei University of Chinese Medicine is a university jointly built by the Hubei Provincial Government and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is the first provincial university in Hubei Province authorized to confer doctoral degrees in a first-level discipline and one of the first provincial universities in Hubei with a postdoctoral research station. The university is part of the “National Midwest Higher Education Basic Capacity Building Project” and has been selected as a “National First-Class Discipline Construction University” in Hubei Province.

湖北时珍实验室是全国中医药领域首个省实验室，依托武汉市人民政府建设，由湖北中医药大学牵头组建、运营管理。聚焦人口老龄化和老年主动健康，立足湖北省中医药资源和李时珍中医药文化优势。布局李时珍老年病学术思想和养生文化、老年人群体质与未病健康管理、老年慢病发病规律与干预机制、老年大健康产品开发、老年健康特色道地药材产业发展五大研究方向。聘请中国工程院院士王琦、王广基、董家鸿、邬堂春、肖伟、陈士林为各方向首席科学家。围绕老年健康重大基础性问题，融合现代科学技术，揭示老年病发病规律与科学内涵，制定老年病防治方案，促进老年病防治大健康产品开发与相关中药资源可持续利用，提升人口老龄化应对能力。助力解决国家重大需求，建成“创新、团队、资本、产业”四位一体的协同创新平台。

Hubei Shizhen Laboratory is the first provincial laboratory in China dedicated to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Constructed under the auspices of the Wuhan Municipal Government, it is led and managed by Hubei University of Chinese Medicine. The laboratory focuses on population aging and proactive health for the elderly, leveraging Hubei Province’s rich TCM resources and the cultural heritage of Li Shizhen. It is structured around five key research directions: Li Shizhen’s academic thought on geriatric medicine and wellness culture, physical constitution and preventive health management of the elderly, pathogenesis and intervention mechanisms of chronic diseases in the elderly, development of health products for the elderly, and industrial development of characteristic, high-quality medicinal herbs for elderly health. The laboratory has engaged academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Wang Qi, Wang Guangji, Dong Jiahong, Wu Tangchun, Xiao Wei, and Chen Shilin, as chief scientists for each research direction. By integrating modern scientific technology, the laboratory aims to reveal the pathogenesis of geriatric diseases, formulate prevention and treatment strategies, promote the development of health-related products, and ensure the sustainable utilization of medicinal resources, thus enhancing the national capacity to address aging-related challenges. The lab also serves as a collaborative innovation platform combining research, talent, capital, and industry to address major national needs.

Successful candidates will receive a tenured position as a full professor and be qualified to supervise doctoral and postdoctoral students.

Priority will be given to establishing research teams, ensuring necessary resources for talent recruitment. During the contract period, the university guarantees annual quotas for master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral student recruitment.

Successful applicants can receive research funding ranging from 1 to 3 million RMB from the government, with corresponding financial support of no less than 5 million RMB from the university.

03、申请条件Eligibility Criteria

优秀青年科学基金项目（海外）的申请人应当具备以下条件：

（1）遵守中华人民共和国法律法规，具有良好的科学道德，自觉践行新时代科学家精神。

（2）出生日期在1986年1月1日（含）以后。

（3）具有博士学位。

（4）研究方向主要为中医学、老年医学、临床医学、基础医学、中西医结合、中药学、药学、化学、生命科学、生物医学工程、生物信息、生物技术、人工智能等相关专业。

（5）在取得博士学位后至2026年4月15日前，一般应在海外知名高校、科研机构、企业研发机构等获得正式教学或者科研职位，且具有连续36个月以上工作经历；在海外取得博士学位且业绩特别突出的，可适当放宽工作年限要求（不适用于通过中外联合培养方式取得海外博士学位的情况）。

在海外工作期间，同时拥有境内带薪酬职位的申请人，其境内带薪酬职位的工作年限不计入海外工作年限。

（6）取得同行专家认可的科研或技术等成果，且具有成为该领域学术带头人或杰出人才的发展潜力。

（7）申请人尚未全职回国（来华）工作，或者2025年1月1日以后回国（来华）工作。获资助通知后须辞去海外工作并全职回国（来华）工作不少于3年。

限项要求

执行国家科技人才计划统筹衔接的相关要求。同层次国家科技人才计划只能承担一项，不能逆层次申请。（注：以上内容参考2025年政策，具体申报条件以2026年国家自然科学基金委发布的项目指南为准。）

1. Applicants for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas) should meet the following conditions:

(1)Comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, uphold scientific integrity, and embody the spirit of contemporary scientists.

(2)Born on or after January 1, 1986.

(3)Hold a doctoral degree.

(4)Specialize in fields such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Basic Medicine, Integrated Chinese-Western Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or Artificial Intelligence.

(5) Have held a formal teaching or research position at an internationally renowned university, research institution, or corporate R&D center for at least 36 months by April 15, 2026, after obtaining a Ph.D. Applicants with exceptional achievements who obtained their Ph.D. overseas may be exempt from the 36-month requirement (this exemption does not apply to those who earned an overseas Ph.D. through joint programs).

(6) Have obtained significant research or technological achievements recognized by peers, with the potential to become academic leaders or distinguished experts in their field.

(7) Must not have returned to China for full-time employment or must have returned on or after January 1, 2025. Successful applicants must resign from their overseas positions and work full-time in China for at least three years.

2. Project Restrictions

Applicants can only hold one project under national scientific talent programs of the same level and cannot apply for a lower-level program once selected.(Note: The above information is based on 2025 policies. For specific eligibility and application details, please refer to the 2026 Program Guidelines to be issued by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.)

The Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas) aims to attract outstanding young scholars from overseas (including non-Chinese foreign talents) with proven academic achievements in natural sciences and engineering to work in China. Scholars can independently choose research directions for innovative studies, fostering rapid growth among young scientists and developing a pool of leading academic talents at the global forefront, contributing to China’s advancement as a scientific powerhouse.
