The iHuman Institute at ShanghaiTech University is committed to achieving a three-dimensional understanding of the underlying biological wiring and connectivity of components within the human body. Basic science and applied research is highly integrated to educate the next generation of scientific leaders and entrepreneurs.

Multiple faculty positions are open in the following areas:

·         Cell biology and biomedicine

·         Pharmacology

·         Chemical biology

·         Computational biology

The iHuman Institute provides sufficient financial support to faculty members in the starting period such that grant application is not urgently needed and PIs can fully focus on research and education.  

Initial Research Support Package: The Institute will provide internationally competitive start-up funds to support PIs to recruit Research Associates and Post-Doctoral Fellows. Faculty have access to some of the world’s best research facilities and resources of the Chinese Academy of Science including the National Protein Science Center, Shanghai Synchrotron, and Chinese National Compound Library.

Compensation and Benefits: Starting salary will be competitive at the international level and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Subsidized campus housing is offered. ShanghaiTech University strongly supports faculty in applications of national and local Talent Programs.
